The Mentor Looks Like

The primary passion of RUSH mentors is to help young people. They can be a big brother or sister figure or that or an uncle or aunt or grandparent. They are good listeners and motivators and have the ability to be a positive role model and friend.

The Mentor Requirements

  1. Minimum age 18yrs
  2. NSW Working With Children Clearance
  3. Attend Mentor Information & Training (Either full day or over 2 evening sessions)
  4. 2 Personal Referees
  5. Applicant Interview

The Mentor Commitment

RUSH mentors are committing to:

  • 12 month mentoring period
  • 1hr week, 3 weeks in 4
  • Quarterly Mentor and Mentee Activities
