RUSH works together with the school, student, family and the community to provide support for teenagers at risk, by placing a significant role model in a young person’s life through weekly one on one, out of school volunteer mentoring.
RUSH is a welfare based program that works closely with the school welfare department.
Accompanying the one on one mentoring RUSH provides program support for schools including motivational & positive choice seminars, resilience-building and life skills workshops and student leadership seminars.
“Thanks for choosing our school”
“I had a really fun time doing RUSH, at first I was a bit nervous but then I gained a lot of confidence. I also had a really fun time laughing, having fun and hanging out with my mentor. She has been fun, nice, loving and it’s great to tell someone of what’s on my mind.”
In these seminars motivational speakers address whole school years on building resilience and self-esteem in their lives.
This is an 8 week programme that builds the resilience and skills of young girls to encourage them to make positive life choices.
Aspire Leadership Program is an 8 week leadership workshop for students identified by their school as having leadership potential.
Schools identify a student ‘at risk’ and RUSH places a significant adult role model into their lives.
